Who We Help
EmmanuWheel serves individuals whose mobility has been limited by illness, injury, birth defects, or degenerative conditions. We help by building safe, accessible ramps that restore independence and make daily life more manageable. Clients are referred to us through hospitals, social service agencies, physician offices, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, churches, and other community organizations. While those who are able may contribute toward the cost of materials, every ramp is built by dedicated volunteers who generously donate their time and skills.

Our service area is the Midlands of South Carolina but as we expand our base of leaders and volunteers we can fulfill other SC counties.
A special note to Medical Providers, Social Workers, and Ministerial Staff Members,
EmmanuWheel is a nonprofit organization providing access ramps to those with significant mobility impairment who cannot afford the cost of a ramp. Because of the tremendous need in our community and EmmanuWheel's limited resources, your help in establishing eligibility is invaluable.
Please fill out the online application or download the EmmanuWheel Client Referral Document, complete all information on the form, and submit the form to our intake coordinator by email or US Mail. It is important that ALL information on the Client Referral Form be complete prior to sending the form to us.
